Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam (APJ Abdul Kalam) was born on October 15, 1931 at Rameswaram, Tamilnadu. He completed his degree at St. Joseph's college, Trichy. He worked as Professor, Author and Aerospace scientist. He was popularly known as the "Missile Man of India". He also worked under Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as a science administrator. He served as the 11th president of India during 2002- 2007. He headed as scientist for popular missiles such as Agni, Prithvi, Akash, Nag and Trishul. He was the first scientist to launch the SLV-3 (Satellite launch Vehicle) in India. He was awarded as Padma Vibushan, Padma Bushan and Bharat Ratna. He expired on 27th july 2015. The Nation never forgets his remarkable achievements.
